1. Q: What kind of powder do I choose?
A: DTF PreTreat Powder – works with all DTF printers utilizing DTF ink and DTF PreTreat Sheets or Rolls.
WHITE DTF POWDER is best for use with WHITE or LIGHT colored garments.
BLACK DTF POWDER is best for use with BLACK or DARK colored garments.
2. Q:How do I use DTF Powder?
A: First, you print (using your DTG or DTF machine, with textile ink or DTF ink) to DTF PreTreat Sheets or Rolls; then cover your print with DTF PreTreat Powder; and heat press it to your Garments or Textiles (typical setting range is 140-165 °C (284-330 °F) for 8-15 sec). You can either print in COLOR, for transfer to WHITE textiles, or you can print 1 layer of COLOR then 1 layer of WHITE, if you’re transfering to DARK / BLACK textiles.
3. Q: What is requirement of working condition to keep safe?
A: WORK IN A WELL VENTILATED AREA and use Protective Equipment when working with specialty printing and curing products and processes (including DTF, DTG, UV) as fumes may be hazardous. Specialty inks and film require a good humidity and temperature environment (50% – 70% humidity, and 75° to 80°F) to minimize risk of ink clogs and film buckling)
4. Q: What is DTF working process?
A: First, printing using a DTF or DTG printer, you will first need to print to the DTF sheets / film. Then, add DTF powder to cover the print before curing. Wear protective masks when operating your DTF equipment and processes and operate in a well ventilated room with a filtration system. Last, Heat Press @ Typical 140-165 °C (284-330 °F) for 8-12 sec. After peeling, cover the transfer with parchment paper or a Teflon sheet and press again for 3-5 seconds to ensure a strong bond with the garment.
5. Q: How do I choose DTF powder?
A: WHITE DTF POWDER is best for use with WHITE or LIGHT colored garments. BLACK DTF POWDER is best for use with BLACK or DARK colored garments.
6. Q: What fabrics can be done on DTF printer?
A: fabrics such as cotton and polyester. When printing using a DTF or DTG printer, you will first need to print to the DTF sheets / film. Then, add DTF powder to cover the print before curing. Wear protective masks when operating your DTF equipment and processes and operate in a well ventilated room with a filtration system.
7. Q: What is the difference between DTF and heat press?
A: DTF, you can print one layer of color and one layer of white and transfer it to dark textiles. Similarly, you can print in color and then transfer to white textile. By introducing the transfer film, you will achieve high-quality, breathable and smooth prints. Plus, the colors will be more vivid compared to using the heat transfer process.
cotton, nylon and polyester Cotton, Nylon, Polyester.
8. Q: What do I need to make successful transfer on DTF printing?
A: you will need a DTF transfer film and DTF powder. DTF powders are specially designed to use with DTF printing in order to make a successful transfer of the print to the textile
9. Q: How many type of DTF transfer film are their?
A: It includes DTF transfer film paper/rolls, Glossy/Matte, cold/warm/instant peel. Cold allow to cool for at least 20 seconds before peeling from the shirt, warm peel 10 to 15 seconds, instant peel is peel immediately.
10. Q: Is DTF printer easy to use?
A: DTF printer do need some learning curve and high maintenance product.
11. Q: What is artwork requirement to print?
A: Your artwork must be print ready 300dpi CYMK PNG format and to size, embed all Fonts. if the files are in RGB mode there would be color difference. Transparent background may needed, otherwise, background will be printed.
12.Q: What should I do if printing color doesn’t match expectation?
A: DTF printing will show color difference for most of case. Among many variables (ink/powder/film/image processing) that affect how the color will appears on the print, the PC screen affects user expectations most of all.
Each screen depicts colors of the same image more or less differently. As a result, user expectations will vary depending on the PC screen used and its settings.
Eventually, users will need to create their own ICC profiles according to their own individual setup. However, this way it would be difficult and expensive for customer. In the practice, the easy way is to print color test chart then modify RGB/CMYK value in your design. Finally, that may print colors very close to your expectation.
